Before smartboards and apps, there was a teacher, a slate, and a student willing to practise. That is still how BIMS works — because it still works.
BIMS Institute began in 2003 in Vanasthalipuram with a simple observation: children don’t fail maths — they fail the foundation of maths, years before anyone notices.
So we built our institute on two promises, written on our very first poster and never changed since: MATHS అంటే భయం వీడేలా — so that the fear of maths leaves — and MATHS అంటే ఇష్టపడేలా — so that a love for maths takes its place.
Twenty-three years later, the method hasn’t changed: sutras from India’s own mathematical tradition, chalk on the board, daily practice, and a teacher who knows the name, strength and weakness of every student. Students from 2003 now send their own children to the same benches.
A concept explained in Telugu, Hindi or English — whichever the child thinks in — is a concept understood forever.
No child is shamed for a wrong answer. Every child is expected to practise daily. Discipline with dignity — the gurukul way.
Maths enters through the hand. Our slate board is our smartboard, and it has never crashed once in 23 years.
Vedic sutras are the fastest calculation system ever devised — and they win Olympiads, board exams, EAPCET and JEE ranks today.
Progress updates, honest assessments, and an open door. We tell parents the truth about where their child stands.
4th Floor, Above Mithaiwala, Panama Godowns, Vanasthalipuram. Walk in any evening — the board will be full and the students will be busy.
