Teaching with Roots, Since 2003

Before smartboards and apps, there was a teacher, a slate, and a student willing to practise. That is still how BIMS works — because it still works.

Our Story

One classroom. One conviction.

BIMS Institute began in 2003 in Vanasthalipuram with a simple observation: children don’t fail maths — they fail the foundation of maths, years before anyone notices.

So we built our institute on two promises, written on our very first poster and never changed since: MATHS అంటే భయం వీడేలా — so that the fear of maths leaves — and MATHS అంటే ఇష్టపడేలా — so that a love for maths takes its place.

Twenty-three years later, the method hasn’t changed: sutras from India’s own mathematical tradition, chalk on the board, daily practice, and a teacher who knows the name, strength and weakness of every student. Students from 2003 now send their own children to the same benches.

The BIMS Method

Five tenets we never compromise

1

Mother tongue first

A concept explained in Telugu, Hindi or English — whichever the child thinks in — is a concept understood forever.

2

Practice over pressure

No child is shamed for a wrong answer. Every child is expected to practise daily. Discipline with dignity — the gurukul way.

3

The board, not the screen

Maths enters through the hand. Our slate board is our smartboard, and it has never crashed once in 23 years.

4

Ancient tools, modern goals

Vedic sutras are the fastest calculation system ever devised — and they win Olympiads, board exams, EAPCET and JEE ranks today.

5

The parent is a partner

Progress updates, honest assessments, and an open door. We tell parents the truth about where their child stands.

Why does BIMS run a 5 AM batch?
బ్రాహ్మీ ముహూర్తే ఉత్తిష్ఠేత్ — rise in the Brahma Muhurta
Our ancestors studied in the pre-dawn hours for a reason: the mind at 5 AM is silent, fresh, and absorbent. Our morning batch students consistently outperform — not because they are smarter, but because they learn when learning is easiest.
